The large pot is truly a large pot! Can be used both indoors and outdoors (empty it of soil over the winter when the frost comes so it doesn't crack when the water expands).

It is glazed stoneware that is dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe.

All my ceramics are stoneware and food-safe (If there are exceptions, I will clearly inform you under the respective product.)
However, they should be hand-washed and should not be used in the microwave or oven (unless otherwise stated in the product description).
This is because I use glazes and decorations that are sensitive to dishwasher cleaning.
The oldest pottery finds in China are 16,000-20,000 years old. The "invention" has been made several times within different cultures independently of each other. The potter's wheel was invented by the Sumerians around 4000 BC. (from Wikipedia)
